Nike Human Race

Here the verdict of my choice: OPPS! I did it AGAIN!

Lol~!

Well, i signed up the nike run with my usual partner, who is my hb! And of coz, with the main decision made because of my collegues. I'm proud to have 2 collegues who are interested in the event, so we 3 have signed up to run on that day. Next i psycho my hb, and my cousin, MH to run. So now i got 4 kaki running on that day! Yippee... I hope it's a well-organised event.

Join me if u are game enough for a 10k run! Cheers!

Sound so tempting hor.. the Tees look nice.. Shd be dry fit, i tink.
2 things is affecting my decision:
1) It is 1 wk after my Sgp Bay Run, where i be running 10km. So not sure if i can recover on time.
2) The price is a bit pricey.. $45+7%= $48.15.. I understand it is for charity.. and i get to rec a Nike T, a Finisher's Bracelet. But wonder how much is donated to the charities of my choice?

At the point of blogging this, my hb has not replied me if he wan to join... So will blog again on my decision in my next posting. :)

New TV!!!

After 3 years of using my beloved sony flat screen, bulky buttock TV, we have finally purchase a LCD TV. And it's huge & cheap! Purchase at last wkend IT show @ $2,199 only! Samsung 46" LCD TV! Bravo!!! Y i say it's cheap, coz other brands range from $3k to $6k at that size. And we almost missed that price at another level offered by another company. Wen we were deciding on the offer, someone bought the last piece. We were disappointed at our delay.. and Hb suggest consider a while and come back on a sunday to see if any new stocks.

On our returned trip on Sunday, hb spotted another competitors offering the same LCD TV @ the same price. So immediately HB purchase the TV.. and to be delivered next sat! So excited.. looking forward to my new LCD... And finally we got 2 TVs. Which means no1 to fight my Channel U & Channel 8 with me! hee~

Anlene Orchard Mile 2008

Did a short 1.6km run along Singapore busiest road- Orchard Road on last Sunday. Sound so easy hor? Guess every shopper has try shopped from orchard mrt (Isetan) all the way down to dhoby ghaut (Plaza Sing). But we went run against the traffic flow.. fr Dhoby Ghaut Mrt to Orchard Mrt.

The top runner completed within 4min 39sec, breaking her last yr record. And as for me, i took double of her timing: 10min 30sec.540.. Ranked 278 out of 543 timed participants. Ranked 78 out of 159 of my catergory 20-29 y.o. Very disappointed.. and after my run, i sprained my right kneel. So walking ard a bit crippled.

I went for a bone checked, FOC! Measured in good health range.. as i'm still young. My mum has won the 3rd prize.. and was given 1 year supply of anlene milk powder. Haha... they gave us a call to remind us to stay put till lucky draw. And wen my mum's name & tag was announced, she was presented wif a big hampers.. so big until she has not much strength to carry. It's like 10 packet/tins of power x 1kg= so the hamper weights more than 10kg! We split the prize, so my mum, auntie and i took some home each. Haha~ i got milk supplies! Power milk... not yet try the taste.. hopefully it taste as nice as marigold or daisy fresh milk. Lol~!!!

Passion Run 2008

Last sunday marks my 1st running race for the year 2008. After 6 months of break, i'm back at attempting my 2nd time at 10km at a different venue and event.

The weather was cool as the previous days were raining. So worry tt it will be cancel in the event of rain. Then i would have wasted my $ n time to travel all the way down. This was also my 1st time i running at east coast. My previous runs are at esplanade/marina south. So given the tree shades and sea breeze.. i expecting a nice run tt can help motivate me to achieve a good PB.

However... i din achieve my PB, and was slower by 10min+. I began my run wif my sis, and we started like 5min late from the starting time. Then i jog with her for 1.5km before i left her walking slowly behind me.. I over-take a few runners till i saw a friend, Sze Gay.. surprised to see him there.. running wif another female friend, who both are my sec sch mates. After a while of chitchatting n slow jog, i left them and increase my pace.. Btwn my 3km to 5km, i saw my hb u-turning at the other lane, and also my hb's collegue's wife. Haha.. Surprise to see her too. Tog she will be busy preparing for her weddings in the nxt few wks.. On my returned trip, my bro over-took me.. he started 15min later than me..

I was quite disappointed with my timing.. although i know that my lack of practise contribute to the failure. But i'm aso happy to see my sis completing in less than 2hrs.. my fatty cousin manage to complete the whole run in 2hr+. Although he is the last to reach in his category with a timing, he is still better than those who din even complete the race and give up half way. He's a winner as long as he pass the finishing line and complete the race! Jia You!
